The Senate:

Consists of: 100 senators (2 from each state),

Conditions: at least 30 years old, to live in the state which he/she represents for the last 9 years

Term: 6 years

Leader: the Vice president

Functions: to make laws, declare a war

The House of Representatives:

Consists of: 435 congressmen and congresswomen

Conditions: at least 25 years old, a citizen of the USA for 7 years, to live in the state which he/she represents

Term: 2 years

Leader: the Speaker

Functions: to make laws, declare a war

The President:

Conditions: born in the USA, at least 35 years old, to live in the USA for the last 14 years

Term: 4 years (maximum 2 terms)

Functions: to carry out the laws, to sign the bills, Commander in chief of the country’s armed forces

The vice president:

Conditions: born in the USA, at least 35 years old, to live in the USA for the last 14 years (elected together with the President)

Term: 4 years (no maximum terms)

Functions: the leader of the Senate, to help the President to make decisions (together with other ministers)

The Supreme Court:

Consists of: 9 judges

Conditions: appointed by the President

Term: lifelong

Leader: Chief Justice of the United States
